1. Service Description
taxclara is a year-round Portuguese tax dashboard operated by CYBER MIND Unipessoal LDA. The service provides bank transaction syncing, tax obligation estimates (IRS, IVA, Seguça Social), and tools to prepare for annual IRS filing — all in English.
2. Not a Tax Filing Service
taxclara does not file your Portuguese IRS on your behalf. Only an OCC-certified contabilista can legally do so. taxclara provides estimates and summaries to help you understand your obligations — filing remains your responsibility, or that of a licensed contabilista.
3. Bank Account Access
taxclara connects to bank accounts via PSD2-compliant read-only open banking. By connecting a bank account, you authorize us to:
- Access your account information (account names, IBANs, balances).
- Retrieve your transaction history for the authorized period.
- Store this data for tax estimation and reporting purposes.
We cannot initiate payments, transfers, or withdrawals. Bank connections require your explicit authorization at your bank’s own website. Consent can be revoked at any time.
4. Waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free and incurs no obligation. We will email you before early access opens. You may remove yourself at any time by emailing hello@taxclara.com. No payment is collected until you explicitly subscribe.
5. Data Accuracy
Bank transaction data is provided as-is from your financial institutions via PSD2 APIs. Tax estimates are approximations based on the data you connect — they are not professional tax advice. Always verify with a qualified contabilista.
6. Limitation of Liability
taxclara is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. CYBER MIND Unipessoal LDA shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of this service, including incorrect tax estimates, data loss, or interrupted bank connectivity.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and the European Union, including GDPR and PSD2 regulations.
